Cycle West, 4.8 km on Mission Road, then North on Hwy 95A for 1 km,  and join the paved North Star Rails to Trails connector. Cycle by Marysville and arrive in Kimberley.  Turn North on Rotary Drive, cross Wallinger Avenue and enter the Kimberley Platzl (Aid Station at 30 km). Depart the Platzl along Spokane Street, turn left onto Ross Street, continue on Meadowbrook Road (Hwy 95A) for 28  km,. (2nd Aid Station)

Turn right (South), cross Kootenay River onto Hwy 93. Cycle  23 km to Historic Ft. Steele (3rd Aid Station at 80 Km). Turn left (East) onto Ft Steele – Wardner Rd. Cross the Kootenay River, ride 25 km to the Kootenay Fish Hatchery (4th Aid Station and turn around at 104 km). Return to Ft. Steele on the same road. Turn left on Hwy 93 for 8 km. Turn right (West) onto Hwy 3. Cycle 6 km. Turn right (North) onto Hwy 95A . Turn right onto Mission Road and finish at the St. Eugene’s Mission Golf Resort Casino.

The ride is 58 km starting at the St. Eugene Golf Resort & Casino. Cycle West, 4.8 km on Mission Road, then North on Hwy 95A for 1 km, join the paved North Star Rails to Trails connector. Cycle by Marysville and arrive in Kimberley. Turn North on Rotary Drive, cross Wallinger Avenue and enter the Kimberley Platzl (Aid Station at 30 km, 2nd Aid Station after Wycliff Rd.). Depart the Platzl along Spokane Street, turn left onto Ross Street and continue onto Knighton Road. Rejoin the North Star Rails, heading South. Turn Left on Wycliffe road and cross Hwy 97A. Ride back on the Wycliffe – Mission Rd and return to the St. Eugene’s Mission Golf Casino Resort.

The Kootenay Kids Fondo is designed to provide a fun cycling experience for ages 6 -13. The event will be hosted on May 28, 2017 @ the St. Eugene Casino Resort Casino.

  • Start Time: 10:00 am
  • BBQ Lunch: 12 – 1 pm

Kids may chose either an 8km, 16.6 km or 20.4 km loop cycling route.
